Tourist Office

The tourist office is located in the historic centre, close to one of the invertebrate axis of the town, our Main Square. At the tourist office, visitors can acquire all the information they need and, in addition, we offer the visitor a small sample of typical products so that they can remember their visit to Sant Mateu.

The tourist office is located on the ground floor of the Palace of the Marquis of Villores

The Responsible Tourist Decalogue of the Comunitat Valenciana promotes 10 principles so that visitors can enjoy our region while contributing to foster responsible and sustainable tourism:
1. Know your rights
And fulfill your obligations as a tourist. Did you know that the Comunitat Valenciana has a Law on Tourism, Leisure, and Hospitality?
2. Promote inclusion
Treat everyone with respect and dignity, showing a cordial and polite attitude regardless of their gender, race, or status.
3. Consider the local community
Behave in a manner consistent with the local population and accept established rules.
4. Enjoy Valencian culture
Get to know our artistic, historical, and tourist resources, as well as our language and traditions.
5. Support local trade
Choose local products to help the sustainable development of our environment and contribute to job creation.
6. Environmental conservation
Take care of natural resources, respect wildlife and their habitat. We only have one planet, and it is our mission to look after it.
7. Protect historical heritage
Comply with established regulations and avoid negative impacts that could compromise its survival.
8. Sustainable consumption
Hire sustainable tourism companies, use public transport, and choose restaurants that offer local (zero-mile) products.
9. Use resources in moderation
Water and energy are very scarce resources; use them wisely and with common sense.

⚖️ Rights
1. Receive objective, truthful and understandable information from tourist companies about services, including final prices and taxes, prior to hiring.
2. Obtain the documents that prove the terms of their contract.

1. Respect the traditions and sociocultural customs of tourist destinations, as well as their wealth and value.
2. Respect the environment, historical and cultural heritage, and tourist resources.
3. Pay for contracted services at the agreed time and place; filing a claim does not exempt payment.

6. Respect the facilities and equipment of tourist establishments and companies.
