Holy Week – Exhibition of Art, Crafts and Local Produce
From Good Friday to Easter Sunday, Sant Mateu celebrates the traditional Exhibition of Art, Crafts and Local Produce in a magnificient scene on Historiador Betí Street and Main Square. On it, there are a wide variety of high-quality home-made products: rope soled sandals, enamelled glass works, textile crafts, home-made fans, wooden bullfighting crafts, olive oil soaps, aluminium jewellery, olive tree wood objects, wooden crafts, exhibitions of esparto grass large baskets workings, expositions about traditional clothing, expositions about bobbin works, medicinal herbs, etc.
At the same time, the visitors can acquire typical products of Sant Mateu such as cheese, nougats, cooked pork products, traditional pastries (pastissets, primetes, etc.) in the crafts market stalls and also in the local shops located into the tourist itinerary of the urban area.
